#5 – THE MAGICIANS REVENGE
‘In Gordon Street Tonight with Adam Hills’ was a live variety show broadcast on the ABC. In 2012 they contacted Tim wanting to do something terrible to a lady’s mother in response to some disparaging remarks she’d made about magicians.
It seemed like a funny idea… but the producers wanted to put the woman in a box and saw her in half, or throw knives at her or something along those lines. The problem is that everyone knows they are just illusions. The ‘victim’ is in no real danger. Tim suggested doing something that would really have the lady concerned for her mothers safety.
And it turn out to be one of the funniest and most bizarre segments on the show.
Look carefully and you might spot Nathan Ernest, Mat Unwin and Brendan Croft working together to pull this stunt off. But you won’t spot Nicholas J Johnson!
