3 – STICK TO THE STORY

This is so obvious it’s almost embarrassing to have to type the words on my keyboard. If you say one thing, especially as a politician, stick to it.

Otherwise you end up looking incredibly foolish when people dredge up your contradictory claims on video

Of course, some will forgive Mr Trump saying his views change over time, but here’s a clip where he contradicted himself within five minutes.

People notice this stuff.

Don’t feel bad though, because there’s one magician who is just as bad as you, Uri Geller.

uri

This self professed psychic claims to have been given his powers when visited by aliens from the planet Hoova.

Repeatedly, he has claimed supernatural powers and been tested by scientists, then lied about the results.

After an entire career of helping millions of people develop their psychic abilities, just as he had done, he admitted in a German magic magazine when he said: “I’ll no longer say that I have supernatural powers. I am an entertainer. I want to do a good show. My entire character has changed.”

However, in an interview a short time later he tried to reword that statement:

“I get emails, yes, they ask me, “Oh Uri, is it true, that you said that you’re not a psychic to a German magic magazine?” And this is my answer – listen very carefully: I never said that I´m not a psychic. You must listen to my words. Read my words, what I said. I said to this German magazine, so what I did say, that I changed my character, to the best of my recollection, and I no longer say that I do supernatural things. I doesn´t mean that I don´t have powers. It means that I don´t say “it’s supernatural”, I say “I´m a mystifier!” That´s what I said. And the skeptics turned it around and said, “Uri Geller said he’s a magician!” I never said that. And I will never say that. Even Criss Angel asked me in an interview on his show. “Are you a magician?” I said “No, what do you want? I’m a mystifier.” “But can you bend a spoon if I put a spoon on the table?” “Yes, I can bend a spoon with a trick, but that doesn´t mean that I don´t have powers. People want to hear and write what they want to hear, not what I say.”

Mr Geller claimed his powers came from aliens, yet in recent times has made many guest appearances at Magic Conventions where he lectures to the other magicians.

Is he a psychic or a magician? You can’t switch back and forth when it suits you.

Uri has made many outrageous claims which have easily been fact checked and proven to be lies, yet he continues to repeat them as though they really happened:
