The Melbourne Magic Festival returns for the 7th year in a row June 30 to July 12 at the Northcote Town Hall. In addition to being The Melbourne Magic Festival’s Artistic Director, Tim has created two new shows for this years Festival.
MAGIC vs MUSIC: THE AUDIENCE ALWAYS WINS is an innovative family show of improvised magic. That’s right, it’s like TheatreSports or ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’ as Tim performs magic to any soundtrack the audience provides! YOU bring your favourite music on CD and DJ Nat will mix the soundtrack to the show live as Tim performs a host of tricks choreographed on the spot to whatever music she plays! Try your best to bring obscure songs, music that you think would be challenging to perform to (like ballet, opera, heavy metal, country, musicals etc) and see if you can stump the magician!
1 DEFINING MOMENT is Tim’s new evening show that will feature some of his classic routines as he explores those moments in all our lives that make us realise why we are here. It’s a stunning piece of theatre that will not only have your brain spinning wondering how he does it, but your heart will also be moved by some of the experiences he has to share.
