3 – KNOW YOUR SHOW

When a client calls you asking about your show, don’t um and ah. Know what you’re going to say about your show and say it. Prepare a brief speech extolling the virtues of your show and keep it near your phone. That way, when someone calls, you (or even another member of your household) can simply read the prepared speech and dazzle them with how professional you appear.

Have the answers to a few FAQs written on the back of the card ready to answer your client’s questions.

Clients are frequently shopping around and simply want to know the price so they can book the CHEAPEST magician they can find. Don’t waste the opportunity to sell yourself to them by explaining all the benefits they’ll get from hiring you rather than basing their decision on price alone.
